Workington Reds returned to winning ways with their first victory of 2024.
Danny Grainger's side claimed a 2-1 win over Matlock Town at Borough Park on Saturday.
Top scorer Dav Symington fired Reds in front with Sam Smith doubling their lead before half-time.
A Ceiran Casson own-goal halved their advantage but Reds closed out the win and sit 14th in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
The victory was watched by 670 fans at Workington's ground.
In Northern League Division One, meanwhile, there were mixed fortunes for the two Cumbrian clubs.
Penrith claimed an impressive 2-1 win on the road at North Shields.
But Carlisle City went down by the same scoreline at Guisborough Town.
Darren Edmondson's Penrith came from behind to triumph in the north east thanks to goals from Connor Shields and Nic Holden.
It was a second consecutive win for the Bonny Blues, who moved up to 13th.
City, though, dropped a place to fifth after their defeat.
Rob McCartney scored either side of two Guisborough goals from ex-Carlisle United youth player Jason Blackburn.
McCartney then missed a late penalty for Jim Nichols' side.
