Former Carlisle United midfielder Liam Noble is back on the move in non-league.
The 32-year-old has made a loan move to Hebburn Town from Morpeth Town.
The ex-Blues man has been with Northern Premier League Premier Division club Morpeth since 2019.
But he has now made the switch to NPL East outfit Hebburn until the end of the season.
Noble, who played for the Cumbrians from 2010 to 2014, could make his Highwaymen debut this weekend against Stocksbridge Park Steels.
He will also be playing under another ex-Carlisle man at Hebburn, whose assistant manager is the former United loanee Mark Hudson.
He was at Brunton Park in 2002/03 under Roddy Collins during a loan spell from Middlesbrough.
Hudson, speaking on Hebburn's website about the signing of Noble, said the midfielder was a "very good player."
He added: “To be fair, we weren’t really looking at signing anyone, but when we heard he was available, it was a no brainer really.”
Noble started at Sunderland before moving to Carlisle for two loan spells and then permanently.
He made 149 appearances for the Blues, scoring 22 goals in teams managed by Greg Abbott and Graham Kavanagh.
Noble was also a Wembley winner with Carlisle, as a substitute in the 2011 Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Brentford.
After leaving the Cumbrians in 2014 he went on to play for Notts County twice, Forest Green Rovers and Hartlepool before dropping into non-league with Morpeth.
