Released Carlisle United midfielder Jordan Gibson says his commitment to the Blues never wavered despite a "challenging time" in his life.
Last season's top scorer has issued his first public comments since he was one of eight players let go by the relegated Blues.
Gibson said he was "proud and honoured" to have played for the club over the last three years.
And the 26-year-old also suggested some people who have criticised him do not know some of the "difficulties" he has been dealing with.
Gibson expressed his thoughts on his United departure in a post on social media.

He said: "Unfortunately this season has been a real low and disappointment throughout and I apologise for playing my part in that.
"It's been an extremely challenging time off the pitch for me too, trying to balance everything going on in my life, but my commitment to the club remained.
"Many people have questioned my attitude in this period without understanding the difficulties I've faced and playing through various situations whether that be personal or niggles to make myself for every possible game I've been here and contribute as much as I could."
Gibson, who joined Carlisle from Sligo Rovers in 2021, made 143 appearances and scored 20 goals for the Blues, including nine last season.
He said he had enjoyed some memorable times during his spell with United.
"There's been plenty of highs, the promotion at Wembley and the hat-trick at Bolton will forever be a career highlight and success of mine," Gibson said.
"I am very proud and honoured to have played over 140 times in my three seasons at the club, meeting some great lads and staff along the way."
Gibson also said thanks to United's fans for their support, adding: "It's been a pleasure to play in front of you, I wish you and club nothing but the best moving forwards.
"Time to rest up and look forward to what's next. The journey continues..."
