BOXERS from Carlisle Villa Amateur Boxing Club have come away from The Manchester Box Cup with two gold medals.
Two good performances over the weekend from Jack Lindsay and Marc Haughan earned two gold medals at the Manchester Box Cup.
It was a much improved performance from Jack in the semi final, and he went on to earn himself a unanimous win in his under 67kg open class youth contest.
Marc had a straight final versus Yorkshire champion Tommy Naismith from York ABC in the under 75kg open class senior category. After three highly competitive rounds Marc won by unanimous decision.
Carlisle Villa Amateur Boxing Club said: "Thanks to Mark (Jimmy Egan's boxing academy) for the hand up in both bouts.
"Thanks to Debbie and Faye for the sandwiches for yesterday and today. Many thanks for those that made the effort to come and support."
