CARLISLE United have thanked local haulage company Bimson for sponsoring the front of the club's shirts as their partnership comes to an end.

The announcement from the club means that its 2024/25 shirts will feature a new front-of-short sponsor.

Bimson Haulage, who are based at Durranhill Industrial Estate, have sponsored Carlisle United shirts since the 2021/22 campaign, however, have been the club's front-of-shirt sponsor for the past two seasons.

The company's logo adorned Carlisle United's shirts during the memorable 2022/23 season which ended with promotion to League One at Wembley via the League Two play-offs.

The logo is also featured on the club's 2023/24 fruit salad shirts.

After Carlisle United confirmed that the Bimson would no longer sponsor the club's front of shirt, commercial assistant Kerry Jardine thanked the local company for their support.

Speaking on the club's website, she said: "It has been great to have the Bimson family involved in the club for the past three seasons, they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and we are excited to continue working together on other projects going forward.

"Bimson have left a great legacy after being our shirt sponsor for the promotion at Wembley and the iconic ' fruit salad' kit and we can't thank them enough for their support."

Carlisle United chief executive Nigel Clibbens also placed on record his thanks to Bimson for their sponsorship and support.

He said: "Their support over the last three seasons has been fantastic and their place in club folklore is secured with the Wembley win and the iconic '23/24 away shirt.

“We are all grateful for their support and look forward to working together in the future.

Finally, John Bimson, co-owner of Bimson Haulage thanked the Blues for the 'honour' of being able to sponsor their front of shirt.

He said: "Everyone at Bimson Haulage would like to say a big thank you to Carlisle United for all the help and support over the past two years, whilst we have been the official main shirt sponsor.

"We have formed great relationships with the team at CUFC and to sponsor our hometown team has been an honour.

"It has been the most incredible journey and has provided everyone at Bimson with some unforgettable memories along the way."
