CARLISLE United Community Sports Trust has announced that it has achieved the Ministry of Defence Silver Award under the Employer Recognition Scheme.
The award is recognition of the Community Sports Trust's work with veterans in the community, with this including the hosting of a number of regular events.
The Blues' Community Sports Trust initially received a Bronze Award in 2018, however, thanks to its growing number of attendees, Christmas meal provisions, and other events, it has achieved the Silver Award.
Carlisle United Community Sports Trust CEO, James Tose, speaking on the club's website, said: "We are delighted to receive this award.
"The work the staff have done for veterans in our community has been fantastic, and for them to get the recognition for their great work is fully deserved."
Regional employer engagement director, Gary Oakford added: "It has been a pleasure to support Carlisle United Community Sports Trust in achieving this award.
"The level of commitment shown to Defence People through its veterans programs is to be commended."
