A football photographer's work is being showcased as part of an exhibition in Manchester.
Stuart Roy Clarke has been a football photographer for over 30 years and has showcased his work in a number of exhibitions up and down the country.
However, Stuart's photography, which in his own words aims to 'glorify the game-of-games', is now being featured at The Printworks Manchester, located next to the popular Arndale Shopping Centre, and boasts an annual footfall of around eight million.
In 2024 I got invited to show my work BIG at The Printworks Manchester, the first 'photo show' (with a film attached) here, ever.

"Football Love Letter" is fab. It's on for a month, coincidental to the Euros.
(btw this is NOT Ai/superimposed ...this is how it actually looks!!) pic.twitter.com/PbM9d1vgxP
In tandem with Euro 2024, between Friday, June 14 and Friday, July 14, Stuart's photographs alongside an accompanying documentary that is focused on his life's work is being shown on The Printworks' digital ceiling as part of the 'Football Love Letter' exhibition.
This ceiling was launched as part of the Printworks' £21 million refurbishment which was completed in March 2024.
After initially seeing his work and the documentary, which was mostly filmed in The Lakes, Stuart commented on how pleased he was to see his 'local' work on show.
He said: "When you see a clip of this it may look AI or superimposed but no, this is actually how it looks to the eye.
"I am so very pleased to see so many Cumbrianand Westmorland 'local' pictures of mine in amongst the big boys: England, Scotland, Germany, Holland, Man City, Man Utd, and Carlisle United/Ladies are in there, Ullswater United, Coniston, Kendal Town, Maryport, Braithwaite."
Amongst Stuart's photos which are being shown on Europe's biggest digital ceiling are gems such as England facing Brazil in Shizuoka, Japan during the 2002 World Cup and David Beckham and Gary Neville with England at Euro 2000 in Belgium.
However, there are also some local shots that take pride of place, with these including former Carlisle United star Owen Moxon's celebrations with the crowd after netting for the Blues against Salford City in 2023 and the Carlisle United Ladies in 2014.
