Carlisle United owner Tom Piatak has spoken of his excitement at the summer of “dramatic change” at Brunton Park.

And the American businessman has stressed the importance of backing from fans and the business community to give United the best chance to fulfilling their potential.

Piatak issued a personal message to guests at this week’s fixtures breakfast event in Foxy’s Restaurant.

The Jacksonville logistics entrepreneur spoke amid a multi-million pound summer overhaul of Brunton Park as United prepare for the 2024/25 campaign.

Piatak and his family, through their Castle Sports Group ownership company, are also preparing to spend millions on a new training facility for United at the Sheepmount.

Whilst Piatak and his family are currently back in Florida, they are planning to return to Carlisle next month – and in the meantime he expressed his thanks to the club’s staff for overseeing the major works so far this summer.

Here is what Tom Piatak told the audience via a video message:

"Good morning everybody. Welcome to Brunton Park and welcome to the big day. It's the release of the fixtures schedule and we're very, very excited as I'm sure all of you are.

"We wish we could be there. Business calls for us to be back here in Jacksonville, Florida, but we're looking forward to get back over to Carlisle in early July.

"Today we unveiled the fixtures schedule. It's going to present challenges. It's going to present a lot of fun, some great trips and some great matches.

"It's going to be an unbelievable journey and we're glad that we're all going on it together.

"Hopefully everybody's seen the investments that have been made on and off the pitch, especially around Brunton Park, because there are some dramatic changes going on there – and I can't say enough thanks to the administrative staff for pulling off this all together.

"It's been a lot of work to do in one off-season but we're getting it done and we need to get it done as a club.

"Your contributions are absolutely critical to the success of the club, whether it's through sponsorships, collaborations or just attending the matches.

"It's absolutely critical to the future of this club and I thank you for that.

"I encourage everyone to get involved. This is going to be a great season. We have a lot of great plans, not just this season but for the future seasons as well.

"We’re looking forward to it. We cannot wait to be back in Carlisle. Up the Blues."
