Carlisle United fans have been giving us their views on social media platform X about the signing of midfielder Ethan Robson.

Here's a selection of their comments.

Seems like another very solid character with quality at a higher level. Creates a logjam in midfield so imagine some dominoes will fall in there now. (@epouvantail)

Sounds a good addition. It is coming together well. (@scholes_peter)

Seems a good bit of work and a tidy signing. (@cufcfanvote)

MORE ON ETHAN ROBSON

Looks good, but none of our midfielders have a good goal return, or are that creative, but Simmo says he's more attack minded, so hopefully proved wrong (@MSef2304)

Promising. Hopes he's a good one for us and slots well in midfield (@Tarynseth113)

With a couple of speedy wingers, looks like Robbo can ping balls in behind nicely. Midfield looks solid. (@adydent67)

Good for both club and player at League Two level. Would say that’s Alfie’s fate somewhat sealed. The Number 10 and 14 desperately need to be forwards because we are absolutely crying out for some pace and chaos in the attacking positions. Fingers crossed - more to come (@Invisiblebear84)

I’m liking the slow drip in, 5 so far, and no excuses being offered either for any we failed to get in, 8 out of ten at minute if I was scoring the window (@keithelliott94)

Bit samey to what we already have. That’s 7 centre midfielders we have who all play pretty much the same way. Last 2 windows signed Neal, Vela and now Robson. Ed Francis at Gateshead fits the mould of a creative centre mid and who I would have gone for. (@AndyRob__)

Looks like another good signing. (@peterjo91525330)

8/10. Two sheer, pacey wingers, and another creator required. (@carlisl9125)

This our new Moxon? (@mincerayder)
