TWO young rugby players from west Cumbria have been awarded scholarships with one of the Super League’s top teams.
Archie Robinson and Rhys Williamson from Kells ARLFC under 14s have recently signed rugby league scholarships with Warrington Wolves.
The achievement highlights their talent, dedication, and potential in the sport, setting the stage for a promising future in professional rugby league.
Both players have shown skill and commitment on the field, catching the attention of talent scouts and coaches from the Wolves.
Kells under 14s coach, Dean Vaughan, expressed immense pride in their achievements.
He said: “Their dedication and sportsmanship have been exemplary, and I have no doubt they will continue to excel with Warrington Wolves.
“The local community shares in their excitement and pride, looking forward to seeing these young lad’s shine. Congratulations and best of luck with Warrington Wolves!”
The support from family and coaches has been instrumental in Archie and Rhys's journey.
As part of the Warrington Wolves scholarship program, Archie and Rhys will have the opportunity to train with some of the best players and coaches in the league.
The Wolves are known for their commitment to nurturing young talent, providing a comprehensive development program that includes both athletic and academic support.
As they embark on this exciting new journey, both players know there's a lot of hard work ahead, but are ‘ready for it’ and are thankful for the opportunity and are ‘excited’ to see what the future holds.
