Former Carlisle United loanee Lukas Jensen has earned a move to the Championship.

The goalkeeper has joined Millwall from Lincoln City.

The Lions have paid an undisclosed fee for Jensen's services and awarded him a "long-term" contract at The Den.

It follows an impressive League One season with the Imps for 25-year-old Danish keeper Jensen.

He kept 19 clean sheets in 45 games for Lincoln and is Neil Harris's third signing of the summer at the London club.

He is set to feature in their pre-season friendly against Gillingham - Carlisle's first opponents of the 2024/25 League Two season.

“I’m honestly buzzing. I’ve always said I wanted play at the highest level so once Millwall was an option for me, if was a no-brainer," Jensen told Millwall's official outlets.

“The Championship is a very high level but I believe I’m ready for it to prove myself.

“Once I spoke with the gaffer and he told me about the project, it was something I could see myself in.

"And seeing previous seasons of how well they’ve done, I could see myself in it and I can’t wait to get started.”

Jensen had a loan spell at United in the 2021/22 campaign but was limited to just four appearances.

He was initially brought in from Bolton to compete with Magnus Norman.

The keeper's solitary league outing came in the 3-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers which spelled the end for Chris Beech as United boss.

Jensen also appeared in the Carabao Cup and twice in the EFL Trophy but his prospects of further games were dashed when Carlisle signed Mark Howard, with Jensen then suffering an injury that ruled him out of action.

After a loan spell at Accrington Stanley the following season, he went on to join Lincoln last summer and impressed under respective managers Mark Kennedy and Michael Skubala.
