Carlisle United have completed the loan signing of young Bournemouth forward Daniel Adu-Adjei.
The 19-year-old has joined on a season-long deal from the Premier League club.
Adu-Adjei had long rumoured to be the top-flight prospect United were targeting.
He has now arrived at Brunton Park as their eighth summer signing, and could make his debut in Saturday's final pre-season friendly at home to Stockport County.
The former Brentford and Fulham academy player is regarded highly at Bournemouth, who loaned him out to Leyton Orient in League One last season.
Blues manager Paul Simpson, speaking on United's website, said of the new signing: “He’ll bring something totally different to the forward options we’ve got at the club.
"He’s prolific in development football - he’s got a great goalscoring record.
“It isn’t his first loan move, so he’ll have an idea of what to expect. He had a loan to Leyton Orient for the second half of last season where he’ll probably admit he didn’t play as many minutes as he would have wanted. I’m hoping he’s learned a lot from working with Richie [Wellens] at Leyton Orient.
“He’s just had a fantastic trip to LA with Bournemouth’s first-team which is why we’ve had to wait to get him in with us.
"I’m really pleased he’s with us and I think he’ll be a great addition to the group.”
Adu-Adjei has been on Bournemouth's books for the last three years having moved from Fulham.
He has made one appearance for his parent club, as a late substitute in the FA Cup third round at QPR last season.
A January move to Orient followed, Adu-Adjei making ten appearances in the third tier and scoring his first goal at senior level in the Os' 3-1 win at Shrewsbury Town on the final day of the 2023/24 campaign.
Named academy player of the year after scoring 25 goals in 25 games for the development squad, he signed a long-term contract with the club in June and featured in last month's friendly against Arsenal in the USA.
He is the first loan signing made by the Cumbrians this summer.
