Carlisle United fans are in optimistic mood ahead of the new season - predicting a play-off finish for the Blues in 2024/25.
We canvassed the Blue Army on social media to see how hopeful they were in the build-up to the League Two campaign.
More than a hundred supporters responded, with their average predicted position for Paul Simpson's side sixth in the table.
That would see the Blues involved in the fourth-tier play-offs for the second time in three years, as they return to the bottom tier after last season's relegation.
Plenty of Carlisle fans seem confident that Simpson's new-look team can put last season's struggles behind them as they embark on a new season.
Indeed, more than two thirds of the supporters who responded forecast a top-seven finish for the Blues - with a third tipping Carlisle for a top-three finish and automatic promotion.
A further 27 per cent of fans reckoned on United finishing in the top half but outside the play-off positions - anywhere from eighth and 12th.
Only four per cent of the fans who responded were more pessimistic and predicted a bottom-half campaign for the Cumbrians, with two per cent fearing a second consecutive relegation.
The predictions of the United fanbase are broadly in line with the bookies' forecast for their fortunes in the 2024/25 season.
Currently Carlisle are 14/1 for the title with bookmaker SkyBet, with six teams having shorter odds than the Cumbrians as the big kick-off approaches.
United are 10/3 for promotion, 9/2 for a top-three finish and 3/2 for a top-seven finish.
Simpson's side are 7/2 for a play-off place and 14/1 to be play-off winners, while they are 8/13 to finish in the top half of the table.
At the other end of things, the Blues are 18/1 for relegation, considerably longer odds than favourites for the drop Morecambe, who are priced 5/2 to go down.
The odds of Carlisle finishing bottom of the league are 33/1.
