A group of Carlisle United supporters have launched a fundraiser to create new flag displays at Brunton Park.

'The Warwick Road End' (WRE) is a collective of young Carlisle United supporters who are aiming to step up the atmosphere at the home of the Blues.

The group has already played its part in ramping up the pre-match atmosphere this season, with a march in support of the Blues before their 1-0 victory against Cumbrian rivals Barrow last time out at Brunton Park.

Now the group is looking to raise money for new 'large waving flags' in the Warwick Road End and to date has raised £91.

After launching the fundraiser, the group explained how they are hoping this will help boost the atmosphere at Brunton Park.

They said: "We are raising money for some large waving flags to increase the atmosphere in the Warwick.

"We are confident that this idea will work well and after that, once people see the vision we are creating more displays will start to happen through fundraisers and maybe even merchandise in the future.

"We are looking at buying 3x 8ft x 8ft flags on poles at the minute however it is all dependent on the donations people give to us.

"Thanks to everyone for the support shown so far we are currently at £91/350 so any help would be greatly appreciated."
