Carlisle United have made a deadline day move for midfielder Harrison Biggins.
The Shrewsbury Town man has joined on a season-long loan.
The Blues confirmed the arrival of Biggins with five-and-a-half hours left of the transfer window.
And the 28-year-old's signing is set to mark the end of United's summer business before the 11pm deadline.
Biggins only joined Shrewsbury in the summer from Doncaster Rovers but the Shrews have now allowed the midfielder to head out on loan.
He has had previous spells with Fleetwood Town and Barrow.
Biggins' move to Cumbria was confirmed after the player underwent a medical at Brunton Park this afternoon.
Manager Paul Simpson believes he will add an attack-minded midfield presence to his squad.
"I’m delighted. He’s a player that we talked about in the summer, he’s an attack-minded, goalscoring midfield player," Simpson told the Blues' website.
"He’s different to what we’ve got, so I’m really pleased we’ve got him in the building. I’m surprised that Shrewsbury have let him go out, to be honest.
"I think he really adds to the group. He’s a really good footballer, gets goals from midfield, he’s a great athlete and gets around the pitch well."
Biggins has not joined in time to feature in Saturday's League Two clash with Tranmere Rovers, while he is cup-tied for Tuesday's Bristol Street Motors Trophy game against Nottingham Forest's Under-21s.
It means the new signing's debut could come in next Saturday's league trip to Bradford City.
Sheffield-born Biggins, who was on Barnsley's youth books, played non-league for Stocksbridge Park Steels before joining Fleetwood in 2017.
He made 101 appearances for Fleetwood over a five-year period, which also included a 26-game stint on loan with Barrow in the 2020/21 campaign.
Biggins joined Doncaster in the summer of 2022 and was a regular in the Donny side over the following two campaigns, making 85 appearances and scoring 13 goals in all competitions.
He was involved in Donny's run to the League Two play-offs last season, scoring eight goals during the campaign including one in their play-off semi-final first leg victory against Crewe Alexandra, before Biggins missed the second leg with injury as Crewe overturned Donny's lead to go through to the final on penalties.
Biggins left Doncaster at the end of his contract and signed for Shrewsbury on a two-year deal in June.
He has made six appearances for the Shrews - three starts and three sub appearances - before opting to move to Carlisle.
