Tranmere Rovers have made a second deadline-day signing ahead of their trip to Carlisle United.
The League Two club have brought in Irish goalkeeper Reuben Egan.
The 19-year-old was previously with Athlone Town, having also played for Galway.
He has been given a one-year deal at Prenton Park.
Egan will understudy first-choice keeper Luke McGee.
Tranmere boss Nigel Adkins told the club website that Egan has been training with Tranmere since pre-season "and has made a positive impression on us all.

“We are looking forward to seeing how he develops under [player-coach] Joe Murphy’s guidance over the coming season," Adkins added.
It has not yet been confirmed whether Egan has signed in time to be in Tranmere's squad for their trip to Brunton Park.
The gloveman is their second addition on the last day of the transfer window, after the arrival of Swindon Town midfielder Saidou Khan on a season-long loan.
