Former Carlisle United defender Jack Iredale was one of the late movers on transfer deadline day.
He left Bolton Wanderers for Scottish Premiership club Hibernian on a permanent deal.
The move, which was announced late on deadline day, saw left-sided Iredale end his two-year spell with the Trotters in order to head north of the border.
The 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Easter Road.
Hibs said the terms of the deal are undisclosed but club bosses are delighted to have brought in the Australian defender.
Head coach David Gray, speaking on the Hibs website, said: “Jack is an experienced centre-half and knows the Scottish game well from his time at Greenock Morton and Queen’s Park.

Welcome, Jack! 💚
“We’ve wanted to add a left-footed defender to the first seam squad this window, and he adds extra flexibility and competition for places being comfortable at both centre-half and left-back.
“It’s great to be able to welcome Jack to Hibs and we look forward to working with him.”
Hibs' sporting director Malky Mackay added: “It was important that we added to our defensive options during this transfer window.
“Jack adds good experience to the dressing room and is an excellent character, which is important when we look at the dynamic of the squad. We’re delighted to bring him to the club.”
Iredale's new team-mates in Edinburgh will include former Harry McKirdy, with whom he played at Carlisle in the 2019/20 season.
That came after Iredale joined United from Morton, the defender going on to make 30 appearances and score two goals for the Blues under Steven Pressley and Chris Beech.
He was released at the end of the campaign and moved on to Cambridge United in 2020, his two years at the Abbey Stadium followed by a switch to Bolton.
Trotters boss Ian Evatt said he could not guarantee Iredale regular game time but that the player had had a "positive impact" in his time at the club.
“He’s a wonderful lad who’s been a pleasure to be around and a pleasure to coach and we wish him all the best moving forward," added Evatt.
