Carlisle United claimed a 2-0 win at Swindon Town on Mike Williamson's first game in charge - how did we rate the players at the County Ground?

HARRY LEWIS - 8

As defiant as the keeper has been in a United jersey. Early saves were sharp and important, he punched away other danger and thoroughly earned his clean sheet.

ARCHIE DAVIES - 6

Had his hands full during Swindon's early attacking, when United were up against it. Kept battling and did his bit in the defensive effort.

CAMERON HARPER - 7

Made a couple of bright runs when United found a couple of moments of flow in first half, and his set-piece delivery helped the Blues get on top.

BEN BARCLAY - 6

Miscued pass in first half nearly cost the Blues but Barclay, like his team-mates, improved from there and he did some good penalty-box defending after break.

SAM LAVELLE - 8

A good day for Lavelle, whose presence in the Swindon box forced the opener, and whose defending, and use of the ball in United's new style, was sound.

JON MELLISH - 7

A couple of early moments nearly allowed Swindon in, while he missed a great chance, but, by the end, Mellish was in more familiar, defiant form.

DYLAN MCGEOUCH - 7

Didn't get on the ball enough when Carlisle spent much of the early spell in their own territory. But kept looking for it and used it very well when United grew into things.

HARRISON BIGGINS - 7

Gave United's central midfield some good energy and running and certainly did his bit on a defensive front to help get the victory in the bag.

JORDAN JONES - 6

Got Carlisle up the pitch in first-half spell when they finally emerged in Swindon half, though his real attacking impact was sporadic.

LUKE ARMSTRONG - 8

This was the Armstrong that United always hoped they'd signed, and the striker earned his scrappy goal with a relentless, defend-from-the-front performance.

CHARLIE WYKE - 6

Didn't enjoy much in the way of service, though his hold-up play was decent and his presence always kept Swindon's central defenders engaged.

Subs: Josh Vela - 6 - Gave United's press new energy.

Dominic Sadi - 6 - Looked to be positive, involved in second goal.

Freddie O'Donoghue - 6 - Late cameo for youngster.

Star man - Harry Lewis - the foundation for a United victory, after so many recent defeats, had to be built by those at the back, and keeper Lewis was prominent with some good saves and other alert keeping.
