Former Carlisle United midfielder Reggie Lambe has made his latest move in non-league.

The Bermuda international has joined National League North club Needham Market.

The move sees Lambe, 33, move on from Braintree Town - the club he helped to promotion to the National League last season.

He scored the winner for Braintree in May's play-off final against Worthing to send the Essex side up to non-league's top tier.

He has now dropped a level to join the Marketmen, who sit 20th in National League North.

Lambe was on Carlisle's books from 2016 to 2018, making 90 appearances and scoring 14 goals under Keith Curle.

He had previously been with Ipswich Town, Toronto FC, Swedish club Nykopings BIS and Mansfield Town while, after leaving Carlisle he had a spell with Cambridge United, before moving into non-league with Stowmarket Town and AFC Sudbury.

Needham Market said they were "delighted" to seal Lambe's signature while Braintree have issued the ex-Blues man a fond farewell.

"We can’t thank him enough for everything he has done for the club and being a huge part of our promotion to the National League!," Braintree announced on social media.

"Reggie has made over 50 appearance for us since joining in 2023 and some great goals (including THAT goal against Worthing last season!).

"We wish him all the best for the future and can’t wait to see what it will hold for him. Once an Iron always an Iron..."
