Carlisle United fans gave us their views on X after the 0-0 draw at Colchester United - here's a selection of their comments.

Had to stop losing before we could even think about winning games of football regularly. It’s a solid point on the road with a threadbare squad. (@Nick_Brown86)

Personally I take the draw, a point is better than a defeat. Lewis played well again and clearly gaining back his confidence. Neal playing well which is promising and the least said about the ref the better (@james_cufc2000)

If you can’t win don’t lose! A principle we need to hold on to. We need points on the board whilst we develop and move forward. Some good play but still things to work on. COYB (@fish_blues)

We looked good until we ran out of steam, possession of 65% in the first half, decent passing play. Just need more threat in the opposition’s penalty box. Harry Lewis 👏👏👏 (@mike_conve30651)

Valuable point, keeping us out of the relegation places. Marginally better than them in the first half and they were a bit better than us second. Defence looked pretty solid but very little goal threat. We were a bit lucky they didn't have their shooting boots on towards the end (@MikeEwins)

Def no classic. However, was happy with a point. Better defensively. No mistakes and Harry the hero second half. (@BruceVander)

Harry Lewis kept us in the game but need to improve attacking wise (@sadcarilslefan)

Happy with a point (honestly I am), especially with the mounting injuries. However, Wyke needs to take that chance - considering our over reactionary fanbase who have previously scapegoated Lewis n Lavelle, that chance is bread n butter 😉 (@Invisiblebear84)

Steadies a ship. The draw away from home that feels like a win. Onwards and upwards (@Bruntonblue10)

Not many pluses in my view, no real goal threat from us and lost our way in second half, Lewis saved the day with some fine saves. Williamson has a difficult job ahead, not helped by injuries. (@peterjo91525330)

Point and a clean sheet a superb outcome and will do wonders for confidence. This together with the Swindon result show MW is slowly stabilising things. (@mtuj1974)

Wyke, 4 league goals in 31 games over the last 12 months. Billy Paynter all over again (@RegReagan2)

Curate’s egg again. Game of 2 halves. On balance happy with point. Think each week Williamson is improving the team (@AndyMortonPark)
