Carlisle United defender Terell Thomas was sent off on his latest international appearance.
The Blues man saw red in the closing stages of Saint Lucia's 4-0 defeat to Saint Martin.
Thomas, who had been booked for a foul in the 78th minute, was shown a second yellow card when losing the ball and then pulling back opposition attacker Axel Raga Rigobert in the 87th minute (watch below)
It proved a disappointing end to a bad night for the Saint Lucia captain and his side, who were heavily beaten in the CONCACAF Nations League game.
Saint Lucia had beaten the same opponents 2-1 on Friday and were favourites to see off Saint Martin a second time to cement their position at the top of Group B2.
But they were stunned as Keelan Lebon fired Saint Martin into an early lead from the penalty spot, before Sacha Barakat and another Lebon strike left the Piton Boyz 3-0 adrift at half-time.
Pierre-Bertrand Arné then struck just after the hour mark to increase Saint Martin's margin, before Thomas' later dismissal on his 15th appearance for Saint Lucia.
They remain top of their group with three wins and a defeat, bottom side Saint Martin's victory against Stern John's men ending a three-game losing run.
Thomas, 28, will now return to Carlisle ahead of Saturday's League Two clash with Harrogate Town. His international commitments meant the summer signing missed last weekend's defeat at AFC Wimbledon.
