Coach Carl Magnay has left Carlisle United after less than a month at the club.
The 35-year-old has returned to his former club Gateshead to become their new manager.
Magnay had followed head coach Mike Williamson to Brunton Park from his previous role at MK Dons.
He was one of an influx of five coaches who accompanied Williamson in the switch from Stadium MK to Carlisle.
But despite only joining the Blues on September 19, the former Grimsby Town and Hartlepool United player has been lured back to the north east 26 days later for his first managerial role.
He will replace Rob Elliot at National League club Gateshead after he recently left to take charge at League One side Crawley Town.
Elliot had been in charge at the International Stadium since previous Heed boss Williamson left for MK in October 2023.
Upon Williamson's appointment at Brunton Park last month, Magnay joined fellow first-team coaches Ian Watson and Chris Bell in making the same move. They were later followed by goalkeeping coach Tom Weal and head of performance Toby Frost.
Williamson, speaking on the Blues' website about Magnay's departure, said: "Carl is a fantastic person to work with, he’s been great to have as part of the staff, but this is a really big opportunity for him and one he couldn’t turn down.

“We all wish him well and hope he goes on to have a successful time at Gateshead.”
Gateshead, who are fourth in the National League, have spoken of their delight at securing Magnay as manager as well as Liam Bridcutt as coach.
Chairman Neil Pinkerton said: "It was hugely important to the board of directors that the necessary time be taken to bring the right people to Gateshead Football Club, and we appreciate our supporters' patience over recent weeks.
"We are fully confident that Carl is the right person to continue the club's progression - just as he has done in his previous spells as a player and a coach - and we look forward to seeing he and Liam get to work this week."
