Carlisle United fans gave us their views on X after the 1-1 draw with Harrogate Town.

Here is a selection of their comments.

Much better performance, first half we looked positive and created some half decent chances, defensive lapse cost us again. Was really disappointed in the second half though, we lost our drive and then resorted to pass after pass with no momentum. (@Halpinforpope)

Players coming back now, much better performance, we will be fine (@keithelliott94)

Real improvement and an indication of how we might play under Williamson. Still lacking goal threat, defensively error prone, and we lost momentum when Guy went off. Was looking at some of Harrogate’s play and thinking I’m glad we’re moving on from that. (@tim_martland)

Better, still work to be done but we are creating shooting opportunities even if those shots aren’t great. More confidence in the front line and I think we score some rebounds today Concentration levels lacking defensively at times today too Guy and Charters helped massively (@parkinsonross)

Much improved on last week but that wasn't difficult. Just need to be more clinical in the final third. The difference Guy makes is insane and he helps Neal with his game also. Certainly more positives then negatives today. Main concern is still defensively for me. (@Tomw0892)

What surprises me is I don’t see what the plan is when we get the ball at the back. They defend in a low block and we don’t appear to have much idea on how to break that down. We still lack pace and creativity. Consistently going side to side. It was a hard watch second half. (@Jholliday3)

An improved performance and a better result. But, our lack of pace and actual wingers really does expose how poor we are in the final third. We got into so many positions where the wrong decision was made or the execution was poor. The bottom line is, we should have won it. (@BlueArmyBlog)

Disappointed. All that possession and little from it. (@carlisl9125)

Better, but it had to be. Concerning how fatigued and fearful we seemed in the last 15 minutes. Such a contrast to the 1st half. Williamson must find a way to have Wyke and Armstrong on the pitch at the same time. (@BruceVander)

A mixture of frustration & relief. Dominated the game, had plenty of space that we rarely get, against a team that looked relatively poor & uninterested. It was there for the taking & a good team would have routed them. Still some kamikaze decision making at the back. (@Rich_W27)

Enjoyed the 1st half, did well at controlling the game but final 3rd let us down just like last season. We need a pacey striker that can get behind the back line & some belief. (@skythelimit1970)

More urgency please to get the ball forward. Too much tippy tappy at the back. There for taking & a team looks nervous of making mistakes. Just go for it please. Whole load better and results will come (@bruntonblue10)

Smashing day for football, always a plus in October so starting off on the front foot was good to see. The brain storming in the week looked like it paid off, everybody up for it so as said we should have had it won in the first half. Errors crept in 2nd half but looked better! (@LindaNi121202)

Had enough chances in the first half to have won the game and then the very poor second half wouldn't have mattered. In the end it needed a lucky rebound to equalise. Goal scoring is our main problem. We need wins to climb the table. (@MikeEwins)

Frustrating dominated start to finish but no end product. Plus side Guy, Charters and Robson are back that’s good to see and a different option upfront which is good, can’t rely on Armstrong and Wyke all the time, need to take the pressure off them (@karl72465)

2 points dropped for me. Had enough chances but just not effective enough. Guy like a new signing. No way the finished article team-wise but an improvement. frustrating times. (@BobbyIrving74)

A game of two halves and far too many missed opportunities in the first half. And lack of any belief in the second!! (@PaulMar21281685)

Small steps each week goes by with players coming back. That must be a massive plus and something to work on - a point after a dismal run is a start. I read a lot of fans saying much improved performance but but but...in my eyes we take the point and move onto next week for 3 (@Alistairwest145)
