All Carlisle United’s young loan players enjoyed the winning feeling in their latest outings.
In National League North, Anton Dudik tasted victory for the first time with South Shields.
And the trio of Aran Fitzpatrick, Jake Allan and Sam Hetherington all helped Workington Reds to a welcome win.
Striker Dudik was a substitute for South Shields for his second game for the club against Warrington Town.
With the north east side 3-0 up at the break, the 19-year-old Ukrainian was brought on in the 56th minute at Cantilever Park.
Elliott Dickman’s side saw a 3-0 victory home to move up to 15th in the table, with ex-United youth defender Dillon Morse among the scorers. Next for Dudik and his team-mates is a home clash with King’s Lynn Town.
In the Northern Premier League Premier Division, meanwhile, there were starts for all three Carlisle loanees as Mark Fell named Fitzpatrick, Allan and Hetherington in his XI to face high-flying Worksop Town.
Fitzpatrick, who moved from left-back to midfield during the game, played the full match along with Hetherington, with Allan replaced on 69 minutes with the game at 1-1 after in-form Steven Rigg’s goal was cancelled out by Jordan Burrow’s strike.
Reds then claimed a late winner through Regan Hutchinson’s own goal to secure a 2-1 victory which ended with a red card for Kai Nugent, his second yellow coming in added time after he kicked the ball away following a foul.
Workington’s win ended a three-game losing run and sent them up to 14th. They go to Gainsborough Trinity next weekend.

Two ex-Blues keepers were in opposition at The Den, where former loanee Lukas Jensen’s Millwall got the better of ex-United academy man James Trafford and Burnley 1-0.
And Owen Moxon made his first Portsmouth appearance for more than two months when he came off the bench in a 1-1 draw at Hull City.
In NPL West, Kelvin Mellor’s goal sealed a 2-0 win for Nantwich Town against City of Liverpool FC.
In Northern League Division One, there were defeats for Dan Kirkup’s Carlisle City and Darren Edmondson’s Penrith.
City lost 4-0 at North Shields while Penrith went down 3-2 at home to Shildon, for whom ex-United youth player Elliott Day was among the scorers before the visitors struck a late winner.
Max Cowburn was sent off for West Allotment Celtic in their 1-1 draw at Boro Rangers.
North of the border, Peter Murphy’s Queen of the South returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Montrose to move up to fifth in the table. Annan Athletic are eighth after their 5-0 loss at Alloa Athletic.
Overseas, Tomas Holy’s latest outing for new club FK Banik Most-sous ended in a 2-0 defeat at Usti and Labem in the Czech third tier.
