Former Carlisle United striker Mark Beck is back on the move in non-league.

He has joined Scunthorpe United in National League North.

The big frontman has left Solihull Moors permanently in order to sign for the Iron.

Beck had previously been on loan with Gateshead but now heads to north Lincolnshire after ending his spell in the north east.

The 30-year-old former United youth team product links up with Scunthorpe in time to make his debut in the FA Trophy against Warrington Rylands this weekend.

He will also hope to provide the goals to help Scunthorpe to promotion, the Iron currently sitting fifth in non-league's second tier under manager Andy Butler.

His team-mates will include fellow former Carlisle striker Sam Fishburn, who joined the Iron in the summer.

Scunthorpe, announcing Beck's arrival, said they have spent "a number of weeks tracking, watching and pursuing him".

"Delighted to join @SUFCOfficial can’t wait to get going," said Beck on X.

The tall centre-forward started out at United in Eric Kinder's youth side and went on to make 77 first-team appearances, scoring ten goals.

After loan spells with Workington Reds, Falkirk, Yeovil Town and Wrexham, he had spells at Darlington, Harrogate Town and Solihull Moors.

Beck scored twice at Wembley in last season's FA Trophy final defeat to Gateshead, going on to join the Heed on loan at the start of the current campaign in a deal until January.

After 14 outings and one goal for Gateshead, he has cut short that spell in order to link up with Scunny.
