Carlisle United fans gave us their views on X after the 1-1 draw with Bromley - here is a selection of their comments.

Think the play is improving, more one touch passing which is needed to get players into space and the defence not getting the chance to be set. Another individual error for the penalty, such a poor penalty to give away, on another day that costs us the game. (@andrewhoddie)

Excellent performance just lacking the 3 points we deserved. Lavelle was awesome at the back and contributed to the attacks with incisive forward passes. Guy controlled the midfield and our pace along the front lent itself to Williamson’s style of play. Optimistic (@Wisey6575)

Starting to see improvements! Desperate for more fire power though! Sadi getting better and better! Guy makes hell of a difference! More optimistic and seem to have more fighting spirit on show (@dixon221087)

First time I've seen the tactics & thought "I get it". Still an accident waiting to happen at the back (Ben W's turn this week) but when we broke the press we were good. Harris is a player. Guy different class. Work to do but we look a different team from that Cheltenham game. (@1StevieKilner)

Much better than Salford game. But for a better final ball and a rash challenge, would have been another three points. Good positive signs to take into next week! (@CowellLes1975)

Much much better, but need to learn how to score goals, feel like we’re a Dennis-like striker from being on different side of the table, but also the subs were awful, most need shifted asap (@cufcaidan)

Better today, we should have won this game but for a needless penalty and poor finishing. Harris is a revelation - pleased to see that the players went for it and got an equaliser and should have got the winner with almost last kick of the game. (@peterjo91525330)

Awful pen to concede, looks worse the more you see the defending there. But right behind MW he's working with what he's inherited and it’s improving, but big opportunity squandered today. Tough home games coming up which will show us what progress we’ve really made (@keithelliott94)

At last someone to carry the ball to put opposition defences on back foot (Harris). Actually a good watch, controlling possession rather than hoof and hope football. Lower mid table by mid Jan. I believe!! Pace and tricky in front line at last! (@paulmason2000)

Much, much better, apart from being very wasteful with chances. Should have won by a couple of goals. Nothing wrong with the squad that a couple of new strikers won't fix. (@MikeEwins)

We have to tie Harris down to at least 18 month contract in January before other clubs come knocking on the door, brilliant today, onwards and upwards (@GeoffRo39583097)

Shocking penalty to give away, heading in the correct direction though and it was a certain red card. Harris, Adu and Sadi are class (@james_cufc2000)

Maybe Wiliamson's tactics are beginning to work. The passing has improved as has our ability to pass through the opposition. However, it may be too soon for United against teams at the top. Next week versus Donny will be a chance to see. @BruceVander)

2 points dropped, we were the better team and had to win today. (@rhyswjenkins1)

Better but still lacking a cutting edge that we must find if we are to escape this mess. We need to find a goal poacher, a six yard snibber, an instinctive finisher (@Dougmacd9826)

We’ve discovered the resilience we’ve missed for 18 months. Defence looking much more solid. I’m much more optimistic we can have a good second half of the season. Any news on Jordan Jones (@JRBulman)

Performed really well just frustrated that we have no way of finishing teams off Priority has to be goalscorers in jan and to get some out the door - (last jan awful signings) Signing kadz on a long term contract is a priority (@bruntonblue10)

All round game was good but again it’s the final third (@karl72465)

Would have taken a point at start but we should have won that. Much the better team, Bromley were rubbish but we have to be beating these teams. Crying out for at least 2/3 players of Harris’s quality, we just can’t take our chances. Weak bench today so subs waste of time (@Norther42188430)

Should've beaten them but at least we got a point (@Calemcufc)

Well done blues what a fighting spirit in the squad. Stupid penalty give away. Ref gave red card, fair enough, but what did he give us - nowt but 7 yellows. Young Gabe is brill in goals. Onwards + upwards. (@ericgreen866)

95% of you were screaming for MW to be sacked & now your bipolar is showing again, flip flopping (@SpadesCougar)

Moving in the right direction. Harris, Burey & Sadi big plus points, we just looked a lot weaker when we made the substitutions (@Joecufc2006)

Said it this morning Williams can't defend! Going forward he's ok, Mellish struggling and Charters' head's stuck to the floor. Don't know why we bring Vela on but overall it's better but not great. Can we have a couple of kids up top though because we're struggling to score! (@MichaelNig75320)
