Carlisle United defender Terell Thomas is set to return to action for Saint Lucia tonight as he bids to help them bounce back from defeat.

Thomas was suspended for Friday's 4-0 reverse at the hands of Grenada.

But he can return when the Piton Boyz take on Curaçao in the second game of their CONCACAF Nations League double header.

The Blues centre-back missed Carlisle's 1-1 draw at Bromley at the weekend in order to link up with Saint Lucia.

The national team captain had to watch as his team-mates fell to a heavy reverse in their first game during the international weekend.

Stern John's side were victims of a four-goal second-half salvo by Grenada, whose fourth goal was scored by the AFC Wimbledon midfielder Myles Hippolyte, with another English-based player in Braintree Town's Jermaine Francis having opened the scoring.

They will now look to bounce back as Thomas returns to the ranks for their next League B Group B fixture at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curaçao.

Victory can see Saint Lucia overtake their rivals and return to the top of the table, as they seek promotion to League A and qualification for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Thomas, 29, has 15 caps and has scored one goal for his country, for whom he qualifies through his parents.

The former Charlton Athletic defender's previous outing saw him sent off for two bookable offences in September's 4-0 defeat to Saint Martin, forcing him to sit out the Grenada fixture.

Thomas, should he come through tonight's game unscathed (kick-off 11pm UK time) will return to Carlisle availability for the home clash with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, should the game survive this week's freezing weather conditions.
