Kick off is 7.30- £3 admission or £1 for under 18s cash or card accepted
The dropping overnight temperatures had put the match in some doubt.
But the all-Carlisle clash in the county senior cup will now take place, with a kick-off time of 7.30pm.
United are likely to field a side predominantly made up of youth team players as they bid to progress in the competition.
They will take on a City side managed by ex-Blues defender Dan Kirkup and whose squad includes a number of players with United connections.
The sides met in last season's first round when United went through on penalties.
United reached this season's second round by defeating Workington Juniors, while Northern League Division One side City saw off Cockermouth in their first round encounter.
Entry tonight is £3 for adults and £1 for under-18s, with cash or card accepted at the gate.
