A few weeks ago I’d guess most fans wouldn’t have predicted we’d be coming away from Saturday’s game frustrated that we didn’t win having been arguably the better side for much of the game and going four games unbeaten.

However, here we are. Another game where we looked brighter and saw the progress being made by the players and management team.

All we are missing now is that confidence in front of goal and hopefully an opposition goalkeeper who doesn’t have a worldy save in his locker.

Whilst it is a fact we are currently bottom of the EFL, and that is not where we should be, we are now seeing more of the style of play, performances and, most importantly, results we as a club hoped for when we hired Mike Williamson.

We remain confident that he and the rest of the football department will pull us up the table.

Gabe Breeze continues to impress in goal, Sam Lavelle is looking more like the player who captained Morecambe to promotion, Jon Mellish being the Jon Mellish we all know and love (although Luke Molyneux may not like him as much), Ben Williams impressing on his return from serious injury, Tyler Burey and Cameron Harper excelling in an unfamiliar roles, the ever excellent Callum Guy and an exciting front three.

With more players coming back from injury and suspension, including Saturday’s return of Georgie Kelly, who is sponsored by the Trust, increasing the competition for places, this can only improve performances further.

In trust news our Annual General Meeting will be held in Foxy’s on Sunday (December 1). Doors will open at 10.30am with the meeting expected to start at 11am.

Once we have completed the formalities there will be an open floor for members. We will also be streaming the AGM and members will be sent details of this before the event.

We currently have four seats up for election with four candidates standing. Members have been emailed the information for voting, which closes on Friday at 6pm.

We are also still looking for a new secretary of the Trust. This, like all the Trust positions is a voluntary role and involves responsibilities such as: ensuring the Trust operates in accordance with its rules, setting the agenda for Board Meetings, and liaising with the Trust Treasurer. We will provide a training course for the successful candidate through the Football Supporters' Association.
