Premier League club AFC Bournemouth have given Carlisle United positive feedback on their handling of loan duo Daniel Adu-Adjei and Dominic Sadi.
The two Cherries prospects have become key players at Brunton Park this season.
Both are on season-long loans and the signs are that Bournemouth are happy for both to see their spells through.
Sadi scored his second goal for the Cumbrians in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra, and he and Adu-Adjei have two goals apiece.
United head coach Mike Williamson says he has had dialogue with figures at Bournemouth over the immediate future of the young players.
The signs are that Bournemouth are happy with the duo at Carlisle rather than considering a mid-season recall.
“I spoke to Matt Harrold at Bournemouth, the loans manager, and they’re very pleased with the amount of game time they're getting,” said Williamson.
“That’s all they ask when a lad goes out – that they get the opportunity.
“It's a privilege to work with them both because they're just honest, humble, hard-working human beings coming in every day – very, very quiet and very low maintenance, and we're leaning on them, so they’re a huge part of what we do.”
Sadi’s second-minute goal featured in Saturday’s draw at Brunton Park.
That came two weeks after Adu-Adjei earned a point with a late strike at Bromley.
Williamson was delighted Sadi earned his reward in United’s latest game.
The 21-year-old has endured little fortune in front of goal recently but benefited from a deflection to open the scoring against Crewe.
“My saying was just, ‘Stay on the bus’ in terms of Dan and Dom,” added the Blues boss.
“They work their socks off every day in training. They show up and even when you know lads are hurting and they're struggling, they're composed.
“They give everything they’ve possibly got and the more you do that, the higher ceiling you've got.
“I think it's the same feeling for a lot of the boys. Just keep pushing, keep striving and it will come good.”
