UK dub scene frontrunners Resonators will be heading to Cumbria this spring.

The Brighton-based collective appear live at Upfront Theatre, near Hutton in the Forest, on Saturday April 21.

Fronted by dual vocal powerhouse Faye Houston and Kassia Zermon, this nine-piece reaches from the light and soulful, to the dark and gritty, fusing 70s roots reggae with diverse contemporary influences to deliver their own exciting sound.

Through the formidable craftsmanship of dub engineer Darren Jamtone at the controls, Resonators offer a powerful, psychedelic and euphoric experience both on record and on stage.

Over the past decade, they have gained notoriety for their awesome live shows, as well as support slots for greats such as The Skatalites, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Jimmy Cliff, Fat Freddy’s Drop and Horace Andy, to name but a few.

Their most recent record was 2016's Imaginary People, which will be followed up this year with two 12" releases of previously new material - as well as this UK tour.

Having previously played legendary venues such as Brixton Academy and Brighton Dome, as well as major festivals across the UK and Europe, such as Glastonbury, Dour, and Outlook, they also picked up an award for Best Live Music at the Brighton Fringe festival.

Resonators have received continued radio support across their three album releases and various single releases with airplay on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music and a live session on Radio 4's Loose Ends.

A line-up of local DJs will provide support on the night.

Tickets for the show are available from the venue, and can be booked by phoning 017684 84538.
